LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The man who filched pills from an apartment at the Lake Glen apartments was sentenced to prison on Thursday and ordered to foot the bill to replace all of the locks in the apartment complex.
Robert Robb, 42, pled guilty to felony Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree and agreed to pay $3,589 for the lock replacements.
“Just sorry,” said Robb at sentencing.
The apartment resident from whom Robb was stealing drugs found that prescription pills were missing from his medicine cabinet and set up a home security camera. The camera caught video footage of Robb returning to the apartment and stealing more pills. The footage was turned over to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, resulting in Robb’s arrest.
The District Attorney’s Office originally offered Robb a plea deal for 6 months of local jail and 5 years of probation, but he was rearrested in October for allegedly choking his girlfriend and the District Attorney’s Office withdew their offer.
Judge Dennis Cohen issued an order of protection for the victim, and ordered that Robb stay away from the Lake Glen apartments after his release.
