Rittenhouse Wins in Dansville, One Seat Still Up for Grabs

DANSVILLE – Though there is one apparently clear winner for the seat of village trustee, the one remaining seat is still a toss-up, too close to call.

The unofficial numbers are Rittenhouse 331, Fox 245, Humphrey 250. Humphrey and Fox are too close to call at this point, since no polls are official until Wednesday.

“Now comes the real work,” said Rittenhouse. “It’s being available to the tax payers and people of this fine village to try to make Dansville everything it once was, and can still be. We have a great little village nestled in this little valley. What some claim to be just a little slice of heaven. I call it home and want it to be the safest, cleanest, most perfect place to raise a child. I will do my best to treat every tax dollar with care, and make sure it is applied properly where needed and make sure that at the end of the day, when I lay my head my pillow, I know, I have done everything I can do to accomplish that.”

Rittenhouse added that he is always available to hear opinions and I welcomes folks to hold him accountable for an answer.
