Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Grand Opening of Playground at Livingston County’s Al Lorenz Park
Mount Morris, NY – All are invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. for a new nature inspired playground at the county-owned Al Lorenz Park, located on Murray Hill in the Village of Mount Morris. Youth from the Mount Morris Summer Recreation Program will join the celebration and have an opportunity to enjoy the new park feature.
The playground is meant to enable children to play together without physical or social barriers. It will have age-appropriate areas for younger children, ages 2 to 5 years, and an additional space for older children, ages 5 to 12 years. Components will include:
• Multiple climbing elements
• Single, double, tube and wave slides
• Suspension bridges
• A swing set featuring belt and buckle swings
• Several ground level elements, including a tic-tac-toe panel
Given the significant variety in children’s abilities and preferences, the playground equipment also features two transfer stations that will provide an easy transition for all users to the elevated components.
