GENESEO — Reservations for Deer Run’s annual Vintner’s Dinner are now open. Those interested in attending should reserve their spot soon, as the event usually sells out quickly.
This year, Chef Travis Barlow from Hole in the Wall Restaurant and Lounge in Perry will be pairing a seasonal multi-course meal with some of Deer Run’s popular wines.
The event begins on Nov. 10 at 6:30 with appetizers of cheese and fruit in the Deer Run tasting room. Dinner starts at 7 with a starter course of garlic and bread soup, followed by the salad course of pork terrine with a mustard vinaigrette and arugula. The main course is a tomato braised lamb shank with pumpkin, parmesan, and sage risotto. The meal finishes with a dessert course of parsnip and nutmeg cake with a brown butter icing.
