NYLON – As part of Lollypop Farm’s 19th annual Tails of Hope Telethon, several generous donors have stepped forward and pledged to match all gifts up to $15,000 made online to Lollypop Farm in Fairport, which is considered the Humane Society of Greater Rochester and “the place to go” to adopt a new animal companion, from household pets to equine and farm animals.

The Tails of Hope Telethon is a live six-hour broadcast to be filmed at the Eastview Mall in Rochester on Saturday March 7, from 3 to 9 p.m. that will showcase the diverse and meaningful work Lollypop Farm performs each day, from far-reaching community programs to successful adoptions, special law enforcement investigations, and veterinary care to help those animals most in need.
“Tails of Hope Telethon has not only become our largest fundraiser,” said Adrienne McHargue, Director of Communications and Outreach at Lollypop Farm, “But it is also our biggest opportunity to directly share our successes and educate the community.”
The broadcast will be hosted by popular television and radio talent from 13WHAM, Rochester CW, Fickle 93.3, WARM 101.3 and The Zone 94.1.
The public is invited to attend the filming of the event, located at the Main Court of the mall. Adoptable, cats, dogs, small animals, and farmyard friends will be featured live on set, and will be looking for a new forever home. Activities will also include a puppy play pen, a chance to get some smooches from therapy dogs, learn about different programs and services.
Lollypop Farm is an independent nonprofit that receives no government funding and relies solely on support from the community to save lives of pets and make second chances possible. Lollypop rehabilitates abused and neglected animals of all shapes and sizes and animals that have been surrendered by owners.
All funds raised help Lollypop Farm that continue to bring valuable services, including veterinary care, cruelty investigations, and much more to the Rochester community. To donate during the live telethon, please call (585) 421-0260 from 3 – 9 pm March 7, or visit Lollypop Farm online.
