LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Republican party leaders from three counties met at the Omega Grill in Geneseo to select former 130th State Assemblyman Joe Errigo as their candidate to run for the 133rd State Assembly seat.
The Republican County Party Chairs from Monroe, Livingston and Steuben Counties were forced to appoint a candidate after the late Assemblyman Bill Nojay won the Tuesday primary.
“We made our choice based on who best represented the districts and who we believe best upheld conservative values,” “said Bill Reilich, Monroe County Republican Party Chair. “We came to the unanimous decision that our candidate should be Joe Errigo.”
Errigo will face off against Democrat Barbara Baer and Conservative Jason McGuire.
Errigo is a Livingston County resident and is the Vice President of Park Strategies LLC.
