LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Local organizations looking for volunteers may participate in the Second Annual Livingston County Volunteer Fair on Sept. 19. The fair also gives potential volunteers a chance to see volunteer opportunities available in the Livingston County area.
The fair will be held in two locations at different times. The first fair will be at the Avon Veterans Hall at 5480 Avon-E Avon Road from 1 to 3 p.m. The second fair will be held at the Charles May Center at 27 Lackawanna Ave. in Mt. Morris from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
The Volunteer Fair allows organizations to reach out to potential volunteers in Livingston County and to inform them of their work and any volunteer opportunities they may offer. The event will be a meet and greet format, and there is a fee of $10 per table for early bird registration and $15 after Sept. 12.
If your organization or group is interested in registering for the Volunteer Fair, please contact Jean Angililli: jma334@cornell.edu or (585) 734-2786. The Livingston County Volunteer Fair is coordinated by Lifespan/RSVP of Livingston County, Literacy Volunteers of Livingston County, Livingston County Office for the Aging, Livingston County Department of Social Services, and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County.
