GENESEO — If you’re thinking about adding a SUNY Geneseo student to your staff or volunteer group, the process just got a whole lot easier.
The SUNY Geneseo Center for Inquiry, Discovery and Development has been renamed the Center for Integrative Learning and is streamlining the system that matches students with local businesses.
“The motive for [modifying it] was to design a center on-campus that much more intentionally supports, what we’re calling, integrative learning,” Interim Associate Provost for Student Success and Professor of History, Joseph Cope, stated. “We see engagement with communities as really fundamental to our institutional commitment to our mission to ‘advance knowledge and inspire our students to be socially responsible and globally aware citizens who are prepared for an enriched life and success in the world.'”
Keeping this in mind, the Center is able to pair students with the appropriate organizations, in order to benefit both the community and the student’s education.
