DANSVILLE – A Lakeville company has made a substantial donation to the construction of the Ann and Carl Myers Cancer Center, which is being constructed by U of R Noyes Health.
According to a press release from Noyes Health, the employees of Ramsey Constructors Inc. out of Lakeville together contributed $4,100, and company president Chris Ramsey with vice president Michelle Paroda matched that to bring the total donation to $8,200.
“Noyes Health is grateful to have community partners like Chris, Michelle, Catie and the employees of Ramsey Constructors,” said Cynthia Oswald, director of Public Relations and the Foundation for U of R Noyes Health. “We are humbled to have seen an enormous amount of support for this project already and we have just begun to gear up our fundraising efforts.”
Ramsey Constructors employee Catie Brice presented the check to Noyes Health CEO Amy Pollard. Brice was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.
“I have cancer, cancer doesn’t have me” said Brice. “I hope this cancer center will offer a team that will provide the care that I myself have received.”
The Ann and Carl Myers Cancer Center project, a collaboration of Wilmot Cancer Institute, Jones Memorial Hospital and Noyes Health, will serve cancer patients from across Western New York.
Information on the project or how to make a donation is available on the Noyes Health website or by calling Kellie Sylvester at 585-335-4212. You can also follow the project on Facebook at: #AnnandCarlMyersCancerCenter
