LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Livingston County Highway Superintendent Don Higgins presented the Public Services Committee a prototype sign that travelers will see as they enter the County.
According to Higgins, the plan is to place a sign at every County Road entering the County.
“We are looking at placing a sign on each county road coming into the County,” said Higgins, a Marine Corps Veteran. “There would be approximately 22-24 signs. In the big picture, in our budget, it’s not a huge expense.”
In February, the Livingston County Board of Supervisors voted to designate Livingston County a ‘Purple Heart County’ recognizing and honoring those whom have been awarded the Purple Heart.
The Livingston County Highway Department Sign Shop is making the signs.
