GENESEO — The swearing in ceremony for Livingston County Sheriff-Elect Tom Dougherty will be held Jan. 3 at the Genesee River Hotel in Mount Morris and the public is invited to attend.
The event will take place at 5 p.m. and the ceremony will be conducted by Federal Judge Richard Wesley and Retired Judge Ronald Cicoria. Dougherty, who will be sworn in as the County’s 50th Sheriff will be available along with his Undersheriff Matt Bean to meet and greet guests.
“To be sworn in as the 50th Sheriff of Livingston County is a designation that I humbly wish to share openly with our community members,” says Tom Dougherty. “I look forward to accepting my new role as Sheriff of Livingston County in front of the very people that I will be serving.”
