LIVINGSTON COUNTY – More than 900 local residents’ lights came back on Thursday afternoon after a brief power outage.
According to National Grid’s online outage map, most of these were National Grid customers in York. As of 1:45 on Thursday, National Grid is still working on restoring power to 653 customers in York, and expect power to be back on at 2 p.m.
National Grid is also working on restoring power for 131 in Caledonia and 5 in Avon.
According to Rochester Gas and Electric, they are working on restoring power to 18 of their Livingston County customers, all of which are in Mount Morris.
According to the National Weather Service, from 10 a.m. Thursday morning through 1 p.m. on Friday winds will be out of the southwest at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. The strongest of these winds are expected Thursday night.
Strong winds are expected to make travel hazardous for high profile vehicles and may down tree limbs and power lines resulting in power outages.
