Possible Gusts up to 60 mph as High Wind Warning Issued for Liv. Co.

LIVINGSTON COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Livingston County until 8 p.m.

The urgent weather message was issued for Livingston, Ontario, Cattaraugus, and Allegany Counties including Geneseo, Canandaigua, Olean, and Wellsville at 4:14 a.m. today.

The warning forecasts winds out of the Southwest of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Scattered power outages are expected. Home owners should secure loose objects.

  powerlines, resulting in scattered power outages. Travel in
  high profile vehicles will be hazardous at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

High winds of 58 mph or greater will make driving difficult and
could result in property damage, including downed trees and power
lines. Scattered power outages are expected. Home owners should
secure loose objects.
