A new store is popping up on Main Street in Geneseo, but only for the month of April. The Pop-Up Store will open April 1st at 75 Main Street in the former home of Genesee Graphics. Genesee Graphics has moved to Suite B in the building with a new door opened between the back of the Pop-Up shop and the Graphics business.
Genesee Graphics owner Corrin Strong is the proprietor of the new fashion store. A large selection of mainly Women’s and Junior’s fashions was accumulated by the late John Spinelli, the previous occupant of Suite B.
Spinelli had been a fashion photographer in Toronto for many years before the Covid pandemic shut that business down. He was selling the clothing online out of the office before his death in February. Strong purchased the inventory from John’s estate and is hoping to clear it out in one month. “Everything is priced to sell, “ Strong said. “John had a very good sense of fashion and accumulated a wide variety of merchandise.”
Strong has some experience in the fashion business having been the owner of The Little People’s House children’s clothing stores in Geneseo and Mt. Morris in the 1980s. “I never thought I would be back in the clothing business,” Strong said. “It’s funny what fate brings you.”
Included in the inventory is over 300 pairs of jeans, 200 pairs of shorts, 200 high-heeled shoes, boots, tops, jackets, dresses, belts, hats and much more. The store will be open Mon- Sat from 10 am to 5 PM and can be reached at 585-233-5338
