LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Be sure to get out and vote on Tuesday, the big day for Livingston County Village races. Polls are currently open and will close at 9 p.m.

The most hotly contested race is in Geneseo, where SUNY Geneseo students are breaking records for college voter participation with more than 470 college students already having voted by absentee ballot.
The candidates for Trustee are nurse and Geneseo resident Leslie Carson (R), Rochester resident and SUNY Geneseo student Matthew Cook (I), former Chair of the Livingston County Democratic Committee Phil Jones (D), Geneseo resident and SUNY Geneseo student Mary Rutigliano (I), and incumbent Trustee Bob Wilcox (D).
The candidates for Village Justice are sitting Justice Brad Janson (R) and Bill Brennan (D).
In Leicester, the candidates are Joe Nahalka (D), Kenneth Rizzo (D), Thomas J. Frantz (R) Daniel Christiano (R).
In Nunda, Trustee candidates are Gary Galton (D) and Maxine Smelgrove (D). Incumbent Jack Morgan (R), a Republican, is seeking re-election, while Republican Melvin W. Allen and Democrat Maxine E. Snelgrove
