According to news partner 13WHAM, New York State Police said that the Arc bus was heading east on Rte. 20A when an SUV getting off 390 north did not yield the right of way to the bus and crashed into it.
Route 20A is shut down in both directions at the scene of the accident and traffic is being detoured around the area.
Ramps on 390 northbound are shut down at Route 20A, but Southbound traffic on 390 can still exit. Multiple people have been loaded into ambulances.
The bus was carrying 11 adults, nine of whom are Arc clients.
Two people on the bus were seriously injured, one of these being critically injured. The eight ARC clients have various levels of disabilities. They were all using seatbelts.
The bus was coming from a group home in Genseo and being transported home. Their first stop was in Lima. There were two people in the SUV. All 13 people involved were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
