LIVINGSTON COUNTY — After a lengthy investigation into a fatal single car motor vehicle accident back in August, the driver of the vehicle, Nathan Poddany, 18, has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and unlawfully dealing with a child.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff York, the August accident occurred after Poddany allegedly lost control of his truck, which then rolled over and struck several trees where the passenger Connor Gilbert, 16, died at the scene.
The early morning accident was not discovered until hours later because the vehicle was covered by trees that sheered off as a result of the collision.
Assisting the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation was the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Police, and the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office.
