GENESEO – A pickup truck ran off Lakeville Groveland Road and destroyed a utility pole Tuesday evening.
According to first responders on scene, the truck was northbound on Lakeville Groveland Road when it left the right shoulder of the road and struck the utility pole in the area of Lee Road at about 6:38 p.m.
No one was seriously injured.
Multiple deployed airbags could be seen in the pickup’s front windows.
The accident sheared off the base of the pole. No power outages are reported in the area by RG&E, NYSEG, or National Grid.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
As of 7:31 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office has traffic closed so that a tow truck can remove the pickup.
Firefighters and an ambulance crew with Geneseo Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene.
