PICK-UP TRUCK STRIKES SCOTTSVILLE HOME

 

On 08/08/22 at approximately 01:28 AM , the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Scottsville Fire Department and CHS Ambulance responded to Rochester Street in the Village of Scottsville NY, for the report of a vehicle into a house. Upon arrival responders discovered, a pick-up truck had struck the north side of #15 Rochester Street, traveled completely through the living room area of the residence and out the other side, before coming to rest after striking the north side of #11 Rochester Street.  Responders confirmed there were no injuries to any of the residents of either home. Responders also located the driver and solo occupant of the vehicle, a 34 year old male from Dansville NY. The driver was evaluated on the scene by EMS, and refused any further medical care. Fire Officials on scene deemed #15 Rochester Street uninhabitable until it can be more thoroughly evaluated. The residents were able to make alternate lodging arrangements with family.  Emergency Enclosures responded to assist with securing the residence.

The driver was charged with DWI and issued several other traffic tickets returnable to Wheatland Town Court.
