NUNDA – The 51st Nunda Fun Days started with a bang this year as local residents, both two and four-legged, came together for the annual pet parade on Thursday.
Folks came from all over the Genesee Valley for a gander at this year’s costumes, like the adorable Batman and Robin above.
Nunda Fun Days will continue through June 6, which will include the Once Again Nut Butter 5K Rocky Raccoon Run and Scamper Race at 8:30 a.m. and the Fire Department parade Saturday at 6 p.m.
The Scamper Race will start start by Keshequa school on the corner of Mill Street and Church Street.
The top three placers in each age group for runners and first place age group awards for walkers. Overall male and female win the ‘Big Raccoon-ah’ award.
Race runners will receive a medal for top 3 places in each age group. Awards for additional prizes will include various nut butters.
