According to a Facebook post by Livonia Fire Department, Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. the Town of Livonia Fire Departments (Livonia, Hemlock, and Lakeville) were dispatched for the report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle incident involving a pedestrian.
Dispatch advised that a male subject had been hit by a car and was reporting back and leg pain. Arriving units found the individual, who had been standing at the rear of his trailer, laying in a yard just off the side of the roadway. The individual was transported by Livonia EMS to a local hospital for evaluation.
“We’d like to thank folks that were in the area at the time for their cooperation in keeping the scene safe. It is a busy day for traffic and this occurred on a main road,” said the Livonia Fire Department in a Facebook post. “If you come across a scene such as this one please keep your eyes on the road and pay careful attention to responders directing traffic to avoid secondary incidents.”
The suspect was located shortly after the incident and stopped by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. The case is under investigation.
