GENESEO – The National Warplane Museum will host a full day of ceremonies and honors for America’s military men and women on Wednesday, Veterans Day.
The entire museum grounds at 3489 Big Tree Lane in Geneseo will have a free open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which includes several events.
At 11:30 a.m., the Patriot Guard Riders of NY will arrive at the museum. Their mission it is to attend funeral services for fallen vets, show sincere respect for fallen veterans, their families, and their communities, and shield mourning families and their friends from interruptions created by protesters.
There will be a ceremony at the museum’s flag pole at 12:15 p.m. The American Legion and VFW will present colors.
A representative from Congressman Chris Collins’ office will say a few words of thanks to all Veterans, including special recognition for veterans of the Vietnam conflict.
Refreshments will be served in Swanson hall and entertainment including old-time shows like as Hogan’s Heroes and Baa Baa Black Sheep will be playing throughout the day.
Admission is free to all.
