Parents find hidden spikes in LeRoy playground

LEROY — Two parents notified village police after discovering partially concealed metal spikes at the bottom of a slide at Wildwood Park Playground.

Police said the mothers checked the rest of the playground to ensure there were no other hidden spikes.

LeRoy police and village department of public works searched all LeRoy public parks, and no other spikes were located. No one was hurt.

“Nothing like this has happened here before,” said a police representative.
