GENESEO — It’s bright lights for Main Street as the rebirth of the Palace Theatre marquee was relit on Friday night.
The Palace, which is now office space was relit as part of a long term project by the building owner Pete Bondi.
Don Livingston, put in numerous hours in refurbishing the marquee sign replacing 400 color light bulbs that were made in Buffalo. Over the past week he could be seen working from a ladder two stories high making the final touches.
“The palace marquee being lit shows that Main Street in Geneseo is a vibarant street proud of its history and community,” said Spring Morrow, from the Geneseo Main Street Merchants Association.
Morrow also stated that the lights wil lbe spectacular for the Christmas in the Village celebration on December 8th from 3 to 6 p.m.
