GENESEO — The Geneseo Farmers’ Market opened to the public today on Center Street in downtown Geneseo.
The Geneseo Farmers’ Market is beginning its third year on Center Street. Dave Bojanowski and Cate Concannon put together the farmers’ market three years ago.
“Each year it has grown, it really feels like a community event,” said Cate Concannon, manager of the Geneseo Farmers’ Market.
Concannon stressed that every vendor comes no further than a 60 mile radius.
“I come here every year, I like to support the local growers and businesses,” said Shannon Videtti, a farmers’ market customer.
According to Concannon, the market slows down a bit when it get really hot, but when school starts back up in the fall the market boosts.
“We wanted to be in the middle of everything,” Concannon said.
The Geneseo Farmers’ Market is open on Center Street, every Thursday until October 17th. The market will not be open on July 4th.
