Livingston County Sheriff’s Police Department responded to a call in Mt. Morris and found a Polaris side by side UTV left the roadway and rollover on Dudley Road near the intersection of Creek Road this past March 21st.
Police found the driver, Alicia R. Coffey, age 28 from Rochester, had failed to negotiate a curve causing the UTV to roll over. There were two passengers in the UTV. One of the passengers, 21 year old Ashlee N. Shattuck from Rochester, was
ejected from the UTV and sustained serious injuries.
Shattuck was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight for treatment of her injuries. Coffey was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mount Morris Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries. The second passenger in the UTV, 49 year old Amy L. Chapman of Mount Morris was treated and released at the scene.
Investigating the incident were members of the Command Staff, Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, Forensic Identification Unit, and Drone Unit. Assisting agencies on scene were the Mount Morris Fire Department, Mount Morris
Ambulance, Livingston County EMS, State Police and Mercy Flight West.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office with potential pending charges.
