AVON — An Olean man was charged has been charged with multiple possession charges and the intent to sell narcotics after a traffic stop on I-390.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Joseph Anderson, 25, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with intent to sell, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument after Livingston County Sheriff Deputy Shawn Whitford conducted a traffic stop.
The driver of the vehicle, Sara Golish apparently had and equipment violation and was wanted on a Family Court Warrant in Allegany County as well as a suspended driver license.
After both subjects were taken into custody Dep.Whitford located 29 bundles of heroin, Hypodermic Instruments and a quantity of Marijuana inside the vehicle, along with packaging for illegal drug sales with Anderson claiming ownership.
Golish was turned over to the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office on the warrant. Anderson was arraigned in front of York Town Justice Walter Purtell and has been remanded to the custody of the Sheriff and is being held in Livingston County Jail in lieu of $15,000 Cash/ $30,000 bond bail.
