The New York State Police arrested an individual involved in a motor vehicle accident for driving while intoxicated.
On Tuesday evening, August 6th, New York State Police responded to a motor vehicle accident northbound on Interstate 390 in the Town of Wayland. Troopers located the crash with the vehicle facing southbound and with heavy front end damage. The driver of the vehicle was located under a tree in an intoxicated condition. Ryan Bashaw, age 28 of Kirkland Washington, was unable to complete roadside sobriety testing and gave a roadside BAC of .19%. Bashaw was arrested for DWI and transported to Noyes hospital and treated for his minor injuries. Bashaw was issued tickets to return to the Town of Wayland court at a later date.
