LIVINGSTON COUNTY – An equipment failure was to blame for a power outage which left approximately 1,400 customers without power in Southern Livingston County Monday afternoon.
According to Rachel Buchanan with NYSEG Public Affairs, 1,401 customers lost electricity for about an hour and a half.
The outage area included the business strip in Dansville, where Tops and Rite Aid lost power at about noon.
Customers in Dansville, North Dansville, Ossian, West Sparta, and Mount Morris also lost power.
Electricity was restored to all customers by 1:15 p.m.
