LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County Democratic Committee says that Tom DiNapoli, the New York State Comptroller, will appear at their fall dinner.
According to a press release from Democratic Committee Chair Judith Hunter, the dinner will be on Oct. 3 at the Lima Country Club at 7470 Chase Road, Lima.
“We are very pleased to announce that Tom DiNapoli, the New York State Comptroller and a public servant in the truest sense of that term, will be our guest of honor at the dinner,” said County Democratic Committee Chair Judith Hunter. “It will be a great chance to share a meal and conversation with Democrats from all over the region and get to know the Comptroller, who has an important role in so many areas of life in New York.”
The State Comptroller manages the State’s $184.5 billion pension fund, audits the spending practices of all State agencies and local governments, oversees the New York State and Local Retirement System, critically reviews the New York State and City budgets, and approves billions in State contracts and spending.
“A diligent fiduciary of the State pension fund, Comptroller DiNapoli continues changing the way the fund operates to increase transparency and establish strong internal controls,” addded Hunter, “ensuring the strongest investment performance and ethical operations.”
The evening will start at 6 p.m. with a cash bar, followed by a full dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from any Committee member, or by contacting Judith Hunter at (585) 615-2986 or email@example.com. Tickets are $40, two tickets are $75.
