DANSVILLE – Noyes Health will host a free education workshop, Stroke Basics, about the prevention, symptoms, and treatment of strokes, in partnership with the Genesee Valley Health Partnership.
According to a press release from Noyes Health, the program will be led by Ann Leonhardt University of Rochester Medical Center Stroke Center.
“Someone in the US has a stroke approximately every 40 seconds,” says a public service announcement from Noyes Health. “Stroke, the number 4 cause of death in the US, will kill 130,000 people this year alone. Learning about strokes is the first step in prevention.”

The Stroke Basics event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at Noyes Health in Dansville, 111 Clara Barton Street.
