According to Cynthia Oswald, Director of the Foundation, Noyes Health Auxiliary President Gerri Long presented Noyes Health V.P. of Patient Services, Tammy West, with a $75,000 check at the Auxiliary Dinner held at Scovill’s Grill in Dansville.
This is the first installment of a $305,500 commitment to the Mary Saunders Beiermann Emergency Department which opened in June of 2014.
The Auxiliary volunteers are the second largest donor to the Emergency Department project, and Noyes Health thanks them for their long history of support for improvements to the organization.
The 10,000 square foot expansion was intended to replace the existing outdated, undersized Emergency Department through new construction and renovation of the existing space. The project included a $7.3 million expansion and renovation, for which the Hospital got a $4.69 million grant through New York State’s Healthcare Efficiency and Affordability Law (HEAL NY) in June of 2012, and a $750,000 leadership from local residents E. Philip and Carole Saunders, and the Saunders Foundation in memory of their late daughter, Mary Saunders Beiermann.
