DANSVILLE – Noyes Health and the American Cancer Society are jointly putting together the ‘Look Good Feel Better’ makeup and hair workshop to help women who are going through cancer treatment to be as confident as ever with their appearance.
According to a press release from Noyes Health, the free workshop is specifically designed to help women with makeup, hair, skin, and accessories.
“Cancer can rob a woman of her energy, appetite, and strength,” said a public service announcement from Noyes Health. “But it doesn’t have to take away her self-confidence. Look Good Feel Better is a free program that teaches beauty techniques to women in active cancer treatment.”
The 12-step workshop coaches women in skin care, makeup, nail care techniques, and gives professional advice on dealing with hair loss using wigs, scarves, hats and other accessories. This workshop will also provided a step-by-step makeover session led by cosmetology professionals using products donated by the cosmetic industry.
Every participant will receive a complementary cosmetic kit in shades matching her skin tone.
The workshop will be Monday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to noon in conference room D at Noyes Health Hospital in Dansville.
The Look Good Feel Better Program is sponsored by the American Cancer Society, Personal Care Products Council Foundation, and the Professional Beauty Association. Registration is required, so please call 1-800-227-2345.
