DANSVILLE — The Noyes Health Foundation Board of Directors hosted over 100 guests at the annual Donor Gratitude Evening at Swain Recreation Center on Saturday, September 27. Hospital CEO Amy Pollard, Hospital Board Chairman Mike Johnsen and Jon Shay publicly thanked the Mary Saunders Beiermann Capital Campaign Cabinet members with certificates, and officially closed the emergency department campaign.
The day was full of fun and commemorative ceremony. Scenic lift rides were provided by the Recreation Center, and a time capsule and its contents will be sealed and placed in the emergency department, to be opened 50 years from now in 2064.
“The Noyes Health Foundation Board is grateful to our donors for the support of the Foundation and the Mary Saunders Beiermann Emergency Department,” said Cynthia Oswald, Foundation Director. “With the leadership, right from the start, of Phil and Carole Saunders, their family and the Saunders Foundation the project fundraising never skipped a beat. Jon Shay and Les Cole served as co-chairs for the Capital Campaign Cabinet, and led a group of committed volunteers who never lost sight of the importance of a new emergency department and the funding needed to make it happen.”
Exclusive Corporate Sponsor for this event was Ralph and Marilyn Kerr, of the Teaching & Learning Institute.
The evening marked the close of a successful campaign and gave the Foundation a venue to publicly thank supporters. There is always another project, however, and a new fundraising campaign is coming soon. According to Oswald, the Noyes Health Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit, and donations are crucial to the financial support of Hospital projects, equipment, and programs which will further improve the care Noyes Health is able to deliver.
