LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Now is the chance for community members to nominate outstanding, resilient young people for the 2016 Teen Recognition Awards.
This award from the Livingston County Youth Bureau recognizes local teens who for having a positive influence on their community through service participation, volunteering, and good deeds in the community.
The program also recognizes teens who overcome exceptional challenges to benefit others in their community.
You can nominate youths at http://www.livingstoncounty.us/youth.htm or call the Livingston County Youth Bureau at 585-243-6909 for instructions and a nomination form.
Nominations are due by Dec. 23. The program is sponsored by the Livingston County Board of Supervisors.
According to the Livingston County website, the Youth Bureau exists to ensure that all youth have the opportunity to become healthy, productive, responsible, caring and committed community members.
Their mission statement is ‘to develop, implement, and evaluate a county-wide system of services for youth.’
