LIVINGSTON COUNTY — One of our main roads in Livingston County, Rte 20A, is now named Livingston County Veterans Memorial Highway as a result of Assemblyman Bill Nojay (R,I) being the main sponsor of the legislation.
The recently passed legislative act makes the portion of State Route 20A between the intersection with Route I-390 and the western edge of the county now The Livingston County Veterans Memorial Highway.
The legislation was passed in the State Senate by Sen. Patrick Gallivan.
“We owe a great debt to our veterans who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedoms at home and abroad. This is a good way to express our gratitude for their service,” said Nojay. “Veterans have set an incredible example for our children and the next generation, and I am happy to thank them on behalf of my constituents by naming this highway in their honor.”
