No Tire? Big Problem: Crashed Driver Faces DWI in Geneseo

GENESEO – An allegedly ‘heavily damaged’ vehicle scraping down Lima Road on three tires led to a DWI charge.

According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, Tricia Cutting, 46, is charged with misdemeanor DWI and violations including Refusing to Take a Breath Test, Unsafe Tire, Failure to Keep Right, and Consuming Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.

“Our officers’ investigation found that Ms. Cutting had been driving near the intersection of Lima Road and Rte. 256 when she ran off the road and struck a sign,” said Osganian.

Investigating officers reported that the vehicle had ‘heavy front end damage’ and that Cutting was driving on just the rim of one wheel.

Cutting allegedly failed roadside field sobriety tests but refused to submit to a chemical breath test. Officers took her into custody.

Geneseo Justice Kathleen Houston arraigned Cutting and released her to appear in Geneseo Court at a later date.
