LIVINGSTON COUNTY – We’re not fooling. Accumulating snowfalls are expected across the Genesee Valley region this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, a pair of low pressure systems will cross the region between Saturday night and Monday, with the first crossing the area Saturday night and the second following quickly Sunday night and into Monday.
Both of these systems are likely to produce widespread accumulating snowfall across the region, with some areas of lake enhanced snowfall also possible.
With both systems, there is the potential that snowfall accumulations may reach or exceed 4 inches in some areas. This would ultimately require the issuance of winter weather advisories with later forecasts.
The snow area will include Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Niagara, Erie, Orleans, Monroe Wayne, Oswego, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, and parts of Cayuga Counties.
