LIVINGSTON COUNTY – A Livonia handyman found himself charged with more theft charges and a Violation of Probation after Livingston County Sheriff’s investigators claimed he had stolen more rings than was originally thought.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Wagner, 24, was re-arrested on Wednesday for Petit Larceny and a Violation of Probation after it was learned that Wagner had stolen two more rings from another Livonia resident who had entrusted him to do work in her home.
Deputy Randall Morris of the Road Patrol Division carried out the Violation of Probation warrant and Investigator Bradley Schneider of the Criminal Investigations Division carried out an arrest for Petit Larceny.
Wagner is also facing charges of Burglary in the Second Degree and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree stemming from a June 8 arrest. Wagner was hired by the alleged victim in that case to do yard work and odd jobs around the outside of the victims home, and it is alleged that Wagner entered the residence and stole two rings, which were then pawned in Monroe County.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office posted an advisory to their Facebook page saying that anyone who has had work done at their residence by Daniel Wagner and feel they may be missing property or feel they have been victimized by Wagner in any way to please call the Sheriff’s Office at (585) 243-7100, and they will send a Deputy Sheriff to investigate.
