Village Trustee Robert Hayes, who also owns and operates a financial consulting business at Hayes Financial Group in Avon, says that the software will tighten the way Avon keeps its books.
“This is money very well spent, as we had a very high risk of obsolescence in our technology before,” said Hayes. “This gives us a cutting edge, cloud based solution for the village that will enable us to stay current in a rapidly changing compliance environment.”
According to the program website, the software, affectionately dubbed ‘Springbrook,’ is able to reduce miscalculations and errors by human accountants by doing repetitive tasks and uber-accurate automated accounting processes at lightning speed.
Hayes added that recent surveys showed 84% of information executives cited lower total cost of ownership and higher return of interest, removing costs for hardware upgrades, replacements and maintenance, server room infrastructure, backup solutions and software upgrades to name a few. 91% say security is better because it eliminates single points of system failure.
