DANSVILLE – The Livingston County 4-H Program met their goal of creating three hundred pillowcases for Noyes Hospital’s Mary Saunders Beierman Emergency Department.
Hospital staff have already started to give the pillowcases out to patients. One patient was so moved by the project that she wrote a thank you letter to the camper who made her pillowcase.
“The hospital was amazed with this community service project,” said Noyes Hospital Public Relations Director Cynthia Oswald. “We hope we can continue partnering with 4-H for many years.”
The 300th pillowcase was completed by Rylea Lane at Hemlock Fair on Friday, July 18.
Linda Carney, Ann Davis, and the Scottsburg Highlanders 4-H Club started this project two years ago, and saw it through to the end.
