AVON – The Avon Inn’s new roadside signage is a reminder of the institution’s not-so-distant ‘exclusive’ grand opening and New Year’s party under its new owners and caretakers, Jennifer and Jim Krause.
The Inn will open for good on New Year’s Eve with a party designed to ‘bring glamour back’ with a ticket price to match. Tickets are $240 per person and $475 per couple.
“This isn’t just a party this is an experience,” says the Inn on their EventBrite page for the party. “Join us as we celebrate the reopening of this iconic 180 year old building with an over the top celebration of her return to the community. Step back into time when glitz and glamour were in fashion. From valet parking, to coat check, we will be honoring the history of this gorgeous structure.”
The Krauses used a $500,000 grant for part of their extensive renovations to the Inn since they purchased it in 2016.
The Inn posts that the ticket price includes two-hour cocktail hour with stations and hand-passed hors d’oevres, a four-course dinner including served duo meal of filet mignon and lump crab cake catered by the Rabbit Room in Honeoye Falls. Decor and flowers are provided by Bradley James Designs. Entertainment and red carpet are provided by Sound Express Entertainment. Photography will be by Larry Tetamore. Desserts and a ‘special surprise’ from the Cake Place. Psychic readings will be by Sandy Caswell. Of course, there will be a classic champagne toast at midnight.
The Inn says that ‘the most exclusive party in Livingston County will have limited tickets available to insure a quality experience.’ Attendees must be 21 years or older. Tickets are non-refundable and are transferable at the discretion of Avon Inn LLC. Anyone with dietary restrictions is asked to email avoninnny@gmail.com.
“Our theme is ‘Past, Present and Future’ and our byline is ‘Bringing Glamour Back.’ They don’t make parties like this anymore!” posted the Avon Inn. “From the moment you exit your car at our new side entrance and the valets whisk away with your car, you will go back in time when the parties were opulent and elegant. From the décor and floristry of Bradley James Designs to the amazing four-course meal featuring filet and crab cake from the Rabbit Room, this party will offer the best of everything Livingston and Monroe County has to offer.”
