New Comprehensive Plan for Avon

AVON– The town of Avon is looking forward to the help of Carol Zimberlin in developing a new comprehensive plan for the town. Zimberlin, an environmental analyst and project facilitator, had worked with Larsen Engineers and has expressed a deep interest in working with the town of Avon.

“Our goal is to provide assistance and support that is consistent with the town’s objectives,” said Zimberlin during the most recent town board meeting. “It’s always good to have an outside opinion.”

Zimberlin has previously successfully completed the Stormwater Management Program as well as the Fundamentals of Erosion and Sediment Control Workshop. Zimberlin has been involved with various sustainability and planning projects, proving her ability to take lead in Avon’s comprehensive plan.

Zimberlin has been in touch with the town for the past year to propose this plan. The current plan, she says, will be used as a base for the updated plan. The committee in charge of the plan is close to completion. Zimberlin looks forward to “flexibility where the town can customize and address local needs in a plan.” She says that looking at special topics, such as energy and fracking, will be early on the list.
