AVON — The new Livingston County Chairman of the Board, Eric Gott, is already making an impact in his new leadership roll as he plans to attend a Town Board meeting in every district.
Gott, who is also the Town Supervisor for the Town of Livonia attended Thursday night’s Avon town Board meeting.
“This is my first stop of the 16 different Town’s in the County,” said Gott. “I’ll be attending Town meeting a couple times a year.”
Gott got a full meeting while in Avon. During the night’s meeting officials discussed an update on the fracking moratorium as well as listened to a presentation on the potential of bringing solar power to the Town as way to decrease energy costs.
“You’ve done a great job here in the Town of Avon,” said Gott. “You’ve got one of the best leaders in the County with Supervisor David Lefeber.”
An additional topic that the Avon Town Board discussed was how to manage Town Records, in which Gott shared his experience since they digitized all of their files through a grant at the Town of Livonia.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of the Town Boards in the County.” said Gott.
