New Bar, ‘Intermissions,’ Coming to Geneseo

GENESEO – The Village of Geneseo Planning Board gave conceptual approval for plans to build a bar at 8 1/2 Center Street, formerly Forever Art II Tattoos and Piercing.

Property owner and developer Don Livingston said that the idea for now is to have a place to grab a beer and chicken wings.

“We’re in our most initial stages,” said Livingston. “There will be food, just bar food for now.”

The bar will be named ‘Intermissions.’

Construction of the bar itself and the interior has already begun.

The space was formerly Forever Art II Tattoos and Piercing, and before that it was Geneseo Liquor.

Livingston is extensively renovating the interior of the building. He told the Planning Board on Wednesday that Intermissions could later grow to include an expansion in the back, towards the municipal parking lot.

Livingston is known for his beautiful restoration of the long-defunct Riviera theater three doors down on Center Street.
