Mustangs Overcome Lions 4 -1

 

The #7 seeded Mustangs hosted the #10 Wellsville Lions Tuesday night in Class B2 Sectional action. Dansville got on the scoreboard at the 26:14 mark of the 1st half on a goal by Ellie Mountzouros on a cross by Megan Tyler.  The score remained 1-0 at the half. The Mustangs came out strong in the 2nd half scoring three goals in the first 7 minutes of the half. Goal scorers were Treva Wadsworth (unassisted), Chelsie Tyler from Baylee Hayes, and Aynsley Belcher on a beautiful header off an Ellie Mountzouros corner.  Emma Butters had four saves in the net. Dansville’s record improves to 7-10 on the year.  The next game is a quarterfinal game Friday @ 7 pm in Hornell vs. the #2 seed Red Raiders.
