MOUNT MORRIS — A young woman was charged with continuing to receive welfare benefits after she had started working a new job.

According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Mariolga Jaime-Molina, 25, was arrested for Grand Larceny 4th Degree (Class E Felony), Welfare Fraud 4th Degree (Class E Felony), and Misuse of Food Stamps (Class E Felony).
According to the Sheriff Jaime-Molina did not notify the Livingston County Department of Social Services of her new job and continued to receive benefits. She is alleged to have accepted $2548.00 in benefits.
Jaime-Molina will answer the charges in Mt Morris Town Court at a later date.
Investigation and arrest was handled by Investigator Dan Rittenhouse from the Criminal Investigation Department along with the assistance from Livingston County Department of Social Services.
