GROVELAND: Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Mount Morris resident on drug related charges after a traffic stop.
On September 8, 2019 at approximately 4:45 pm, Deputy Jerry Pilkenton was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Operation Safe Interstate Initiative when he stopped a vehicle on Mount Morris Geneseo Road (State Route 408) in the Town of Groveland after observing a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law on Interstate 390.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as 22 year old Ryan J. Bonadonna. The Deputy Sheriff suspected that Bonadonna was involved in drug activity and conducted a roadside drug investigation. The roadside investigation revealed that Bonadonna was in possession of six (6) bags of heroin. Bonadonna was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree along with the
Vehicle and Traffic Law violation.
Bonadonna was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Bonadonna was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Lima Judge Harold Harris. The Judge released Bonadonna on his own recognizance.
