MOUNT MORRIS — The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County has continued their Summer Recreations contract with the Village of Mount Morris for their fourth consecutive year.
According to a press release from Cornell Cooperative Extension, from July 10 to Aug. 18 the Mount Morris Summer Recreation Program will take place at Bellamy Park.
“Just like previous years, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County will offer full-day programming (Monday-Friday) for free,” said Youth Development Team Leader Mark Wittmeyer. “Activities will include sports/fitness activities, arts and crafts, games, and more. Friday field trips will include swimming at Letchworth State Park and visits to the Chip Holt Nature Center and Minnehan’s Fun Center.”
Free breakfast will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. daily. Participants can also enjoy a free lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All youth must have completed Kindergarten and be under the age of 14 as of July 10 in order to participate.
Summer Recreation Program registration will take place on Wednesday, June 28 and Thursday, June 29 (5:30 to 7 p.m.) at Bellamy Park. Registration packets will also be made available at the Mount Morris Village Clerk and CCE Livingston County offices. They can also be obtained at www.ccelivingstoncounty.org.
The Mount Morris Summer Recreation Program is operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Livingston County and sponsored by the Village of Mount Morris with a generous donation from the Mount Morris branch of Five Star Bank.
