LIVINGSTON COUNTY— A Mount Morris man and woman were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop.

According to a press release provided by Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Juan R. Baez-DeJesus, 48, and Nichol E. Pizarro-Lopez, 33, were arrested for allegedly possessing several bags of heroin.
Deputy Shawn Whitford pulled over the duo for an alleged NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law violation on Interstate 390. During a roadside investigation, he discovered that the two were in possession of several bags of heroin.
Baez-DeJesus and Pizarro-Lopez were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Baez-DeJesus was also found to have unprescribed Suboxone strips on his person and was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
Baes-DeJesus and Pizarro-Lopez were turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. They were later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before Judge Harris where they were released on their own recognizance and Deputies set them free.
